 Dr. Herbert Bailey, originally from Jersey City, NJ, is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Right Direction Christian Center (RDCC) in Columbia, SC. RDCC is one of the fastest growing churches in the Greater Columbia Area and has grown from 10 to 2000 since its inception in April of 1996.
Called to ministry at age 12, Dr. Bailey has been preaching and teaching the Word of God for over 35 years. Prior to becoming the Pastor of Right Direction Christian Center, Dr. Bailey served for ten years as an Assistant Pastor in Portland, ME and Tulsa, OK. Dr. Bailey holds a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from Upsala College, East Orange, NJ, pursued a Masters of Public Administration at Rutgers University of New Jersey and a Masters of Organizational Leadership from Regent University.
Dr. Bailey was also honored with a Doctorate of Divinity degree from St. Thomas Christian College of Jacksonville, Fl.
Dr. Bailey and his wife of over 24 years of marriage, Co-Pastor, Dr. Marcia L. Bailey, have four children, Chandler, Tyler, Daniel, and Kindra. Their preaching and teaching ministry brings forth a message of faith, prosperity, victorious living, and practical biblical application. They are pursuing God’s vision to impact the world with a ministry emphasizing spiritual self-esteem, education, and economic prosperity for all people. His ministry can be heard by radio throughout South Carolina and viewed nationwide via the WORD Network on Tuesdays at 7:30am Eastern Time.
